Where (The region and the soil) and What

“Vernaccia di San Gimignano” is one of the great white wines of Tuscany.

The area where this wine is produces is near the medieval town of San Gimignano, famous for its many towers.

Here the grapes are grown in volcanic soil and gently warmed by the Tuscan sun to give them character and flavour.

Vernaccia wine from San Gimignano has a long history since the Renaissance period.

HOW IS MADE

The wine must be made with at least 85% Vernaccia grapes, allowing for a maximum presence of 15% of other, non-aromatic white grape varietals, suitable for cultivation within the Tuscany Region.
